Biografía
Vanessa Karel, is a second-time Founder, Serial Entrepreneur, Storyteller, and Creative Producer. She was recently named as one of the 100 rising Latinx Startup founders to watch through her work founding Greether; a travel startup that helps women travel safer. Vanessa is also currently leading Girls in Tech, San Francisco as their Manager Director.
Born in the USA, raised in Mexico City. Growing up constantly traveling, Vanessa always found an interest in exploring different cultures and expanding horizons.
In 2020, she founded a safety platform for female travelers around the world named Greether. Which targets some of the most important SDGs and sustainable UN development goals, which are to reduce safety risks for women and to increase income opportunities for them through sustainable tourism. “We connect female travelers to verified local women they can book wherever they go so they can have safer navigation from a local expert ""we provide travelers with their local best friend”

Ser emprendedor requiere mucha dedicación, esfuerzo y disciplina, no siempre es fácil pero, si encuentras una causa que amas, te hará más llevaderos los días difíciles.
Al iniciar un negocio, asegúrate de estar 100% apasionado por el producto, la misión, el proyecto o la solución. Hay puntos claves a tomar en cuenta cuando emprendes en el mundo de las startups, entre ellos el de saber identificar si tu idea tiene potencial, el problema que estás resolviendo y cómo la solución que tienes resolverá ese problema.
Ser emprendedor ya es un gran reto. Emprender como mujer en Silicon Valley, lo es aún más, pero the future is female.
